Taking A Break
Project Weekend has been a lot of fun, but it needed some work. It was my first real Django project. I learned so much while building it, but I also did a lot of things the wrong way. In the back of my head there is a little voice that constantly nags me to fix those things. I guess I couldn't fight it any longer.
The site started with just two of us. That format continued for the better part of a year. Later we started including other friends who loved sharing their favorite music too. It was getting tough for two people to generate enough content on a regular schedule. Eventually, even with all of the extra help, our pace started to slow.
I saw this as an opportunity. It's a chance to strategize, redesign and rebuild. I can't say when it will be finished. I'm taking my time, doing it right, and learning even more this time around. To everyone that enjoyed Project Weekend, I say thanks. Please stick around and see what's next.
