Well, it's about time I get back to my 20 years gone campaign. Letters to Cleo was one of my favorite bands in the 1990s and it all started with this record. Some of the stuff I listened to back then didn't age so well. That isn't the case with these guys. I can still listen to them today and love it just as much.
Tanya Donelly had her hands in a few projects during the 1990s. Her name will definitely pop up again during this little campaign of remembering the past. Belly's debut release was one of those albums I had forgotten about. I'm glad I gave it another listen.
The Strokes released a new album this week. It's a turn in the right direction too. They're one of my favorite bands, but I didn't dig the last couple of albums that much. This stuff is good though.
I took a little break from digging through the past and I came across this new offering from Mogwai. It's subtle, finely crafted post-rock. I like it.
This album kicks things off right. I can't deny the way that thick swell of electric guitar made me feel. It sounded good back then and the same holds true today. Yeah.
