This release is new and not new at the same time. Prior to now, this album had only been bundled with early vinyl copies of The Silent Surf from 2010. It's a short one but it's really chill.

Italian composer Fabrizio Paterlini first crossed my path in 2012. He ended up becoming my second most listened to artist for the year. I was excited to see a new album released in late April. Paterlini's ambient, contemporary classical works center on his piano work. It's beautiful.

I stumbled back across this double album recently and I'm glad I did. This is a whole lot of ambient drone. I'd venture to say it's an absolutely perfect example of the genre. Seriously.

A friend of mine recently recommended a Max Richter album and it made me think of this record. I went back and listened to it a couple times this evening. This music is big and thunderous. It sounds good

Some nights, I put this on just before going to bed. The delicate, hypnotic drone is my ticket to dreamland.
